Computer/laptop monitor sizes in Europe are *not* reported in centimeters, as one expects, but in inches. A 19" monitor is a 19" where ever you go. I don't think I've run across anything else in inches.
TV screen sizes are reported in cm, though.

Huh, how interesting. And clearly someone put a decent amount of attention to localizing that number from the 15,4" rather than 15.4" -- so it's clearly a conscious decision. Weird -- I wonder if it's a newness-of-technology thing, or a country-of-origin thing?
